Calcium (Ca) signaling represents a universal information code in plants, playing crucial roles spanning developmental processes to stress responses. Ca signals are decoded into defined plant adaptive responses by different Ca sensing proteins, including calmodulin (CaM) and calmodulin-like (CML) proteins.
