Phycocyanobilin (PCB) is a natural blue tetrapyrrole chromophore that is found in phycocyanin and plays an essential role in photosynthesis. Due to PCB's antioxidation, anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties, it has been utilized in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
