In this study, an efficient screening pipeline was established for identifying the highly active orcinol synthase (ORS) and UDP-dependent glycosyltransferase (UGT) involved in the biosynthesis of OG by combining transcriptome analysis, structure-based virtual screening, and in vitro enzyme activity assays.
