Detection of complex splice sites (SSs) and polyadenylation sites (PASs) of eukaryotic genes is essential for the elucidation of gene regulatory mechanisms. Transcriptome-wide studies using high-throughput sequencing (HTS) have revealed prevalent alternative splicing (AS) and alternative polyadenylation (APA) in plants.
