Repeated direct venous inoculation of Plasmodium falciparum sporozoites (PfSPZ) together with antimalarial chemoprophylaxis (PfSPZ-CVac) is the most potent way to induce sterile immunity against P. falciparum infection in malaria-naive volunteers.
